In-depth CS Implementation Planning Stipends: Application Open


The University of Rhode Island is offering stipends of $1,200 per member to district teams who complete the entire SCRIPT process by August 2019.  To qualify for the stipend, a person must be a member of a 5-person district team. Teams should consist of:

  • One elementary school teacher trained in CS (e.g. Code.org or Scratch), 

  • One middle school teacher with CS teaching experience, 

  • One high school teacher with CS teaching experience, and 

  • Two administrators, at least one of whom is in a position to influence district decisions. 

Funding is limited to ten district teams. Cohort 1 and Cohort 2 Districts that have or will be participating in SCRIPT workshops will receive preference for these stipends.  Although it is not a requirement for all team members to have attended the SCRIPT Workshops, it is preferred for at least one team member to have attended. Application can be completed as part of workshop registration. Team contracts and a letter of support from superintendent should be submitted with application.
